The challenge was growing a book of business that justified my salary. I was responsible for bringing in new clients and was able to close multiple 7+ figure deals. Clients might only host one or two major events per year. The landscape was competitive, and our product was premium and expensive.
Strong inbound pipeline combined with deep industry relationships built over years in esports.
Competed for and won RFP-driven projects against other production companies.
Handled everything from initial contact through pitch development to writing contracts and closing deals. Total handoff to production once signed.
Won business by understanding games and game storytelling better than anyone else. It was an easy product to sell because we were the global experts.
Major deals with PUBG (7 figures) and Supercell (8 figures, at the time one of the largest esports production agreements ever). Revenue grew from $30 million per year to $80 million during my 2-year tenure.
